NOIR MAGAZINE
In 2014, I founded Noir Magazine. Noir aims to celebrate overlooked communities and highlight people and communities of color - our culture, our beauty, and current events concerning us. Noir averages about 2000 readers per issue, with 500 committed subscribers who have signed up so new issues are delivered right to their email inboxes! Initially, the magazine was primarily written and designed me. Over time, however, more and more individuals began contributing to Noir.

WRITING
I have written pieces for Playboy, The Root, Playboy, Bitch Magazine, Black Youth Project, AfroPunk, and NYMag's Strategist.

THE IRATE 8
In 2015, I co-founded the Irate 8 in response to the shooting death of Samuel Dubose by a University of Cincinnati's police officer. The Irate 8 is a highly acclaimed, award-winning student activist movement that has been used as a template across the country and praised by the University of Cincinnati's faculty, staff, administration, and Board of Trustees. It has been featured in over 30 publications locally, nationally, and internationally. View that list of publications by clicking here. The movement has yielded millions of dollars in scholarships for minorities, the renovation of our African American Cultural and Resource Center, the formation of inclusive classroom curriculum, new faculty and staff hires, increased funding for programs and initiatives related to black student success, and a hiring process that evaluates each candidate's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Social Media Freelancer
These accounts have multiple curators, and I am one of them. I mostly create video content for each social media channel. I produce a script for current events, then produce a video around the topic. These videos generate a lot of engagement. Additionally, I employ polls, tweet round-ups, and storytelling hashtags to engage with the audience.
